When a user decides to use media banks or DAM solutions, they often find themselves in the process of tagging documents that had been archived. This time consuming process is often a part of uploading pictures in an online album as well. What if there is an easy way for photographers to publish their iPhoto library online without the need to renter all the keywords?
At SeeFile, we are committed to offer the easiest media bank possible to our customers. With its automatic metadata import, it is possible to import the keywords stored in iPhoto to our media bank solution. For instance, if a photographer went to an automobile show and took pictures, he would need to add keywords in order to retrieve a specific model or brand in the future.
In order to transfer these keywords to SeeFile, it is
necessary to export the pictures to SeeFile's published folder or volume.
To do so, you would need to select the photos and click on File on the menu
on top, and choose export. Select a file format (kind) other than current or original
and check the box Title and Keywords as shown here:
After clicking on the button Export, you would need to choose a location where to export the files. Choose the folder shard by SeeFile (by default, SeeFile Home Directory). In order to keep a good organization, we recommend that you create a folder for the exported files. In this example the folder Car show was created.
Once you hit OK the files are added to SeeFile and it will generate the previews and import the keywords. You and your customers can then login to SeeFile and access the files:
