According to a survey designed by Allied Vaughn published in March 2008, "Almost 75% of respondents felt that budget was the most common barrier to implementing Digital Asset Management in their organization [and almost] 60% identified a lack of time and resources to tag information." For over 15 years now, many developers created and optimized DAM platforms. However, many failed to simplify the implementation process and to be affordable for more than 80% of all companies: small and medium size businesses. I found that many of them would rely on FTP servers, online services or email attachments to deliver their media files to their customers.

We are often asked for documentation of how to open port 80 so that SeeFile is accessible from the Internet. This is somewhat difficult to do since every firewall and router is different and even use different terminology for that same features. ie port forwarding versus port mapping. We will provide a general procedure as well as a few tips and suggestions.

Apple warned that it is possible to take complete control of a Mac if some malicious image files are opened. This is a serious concern for SeeFile Software since our product is used as a media bank and file delivery solution. We recommend an immediate upgrade to OSX 10.5.8 to Leopard's users.
